SURGICAL STRIKE DAY CELEBRATION

Kamal Institute of Higher Education And Advance Technology, Mohan Garden celebrated “surgical strike” day on Friday 28th September, 2018 to mark the second anniversary of the Indian Army’s strike at terror pods across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The educational institutions were advised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to observe the day. Following the guidelines KIHEAT observed the second anniversary of Surgical Strike, the Indian Army’s strike against terrorism, commemorating the great courage and sacrifice of the armed forces. On September 29 in 2016, the Indian army carried out surgical strike on seven terrorist launch-pads across the LOC as a response to its attack on its base in Uri.

Dr. Madan Mohan Maheshwari, Director Kamal Institute of Higher Education And Advance Technology, addressed a gathering of student. He explained the importance of Surgical Strike day to the students. He asked students to be ready for making any sacrifice for the betterment of the nation. He said that it’s a day to showcase the courage, valour and sacrifice of Armed Forces.

Deepak Adhana, Assistant Professor sensitized the students on the meaning of Surgical Strike. He began his speech with the words “God came in Uniform to save us”. Mr. Adhana also paid tribute to the Kargil martyrs with Hindi Poetry and Patriotic Shayri. He said that the day gave the institute an opportunity to pay tribute to their security forces. ‘It’s not just to about the surgical strike day. It is an opportunity to recognize the valour and sacrifices of our soldiers. He said whichever field you join after your education, service and sacrifice for the nation should be the prime concern. He also gave the example of brave soldier of Indian Army and asks students to read their story of courage. He urged students to join Army to serve the nation.

A short video film on Surgical Strike was also shown during this program.

Patriotic Poems event was also organised at the end in which students shown their creativity by delivering messages for the Indian Army Jawans. Dr. Madan Mohan Maheshwari, Director KIHEAT presented certificates to the winners of poetry event and also to the participated students. Dubbed as 'Parakram Parv' the event culminated with the Slogans like Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vande Mataram. It was a remarkable experience for all involved.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATIONS 2018

SEMINAR ON "ICT Development Project"

Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology organized a seminar on ICT Development Project for the students of BBA, BCA and B.Com on 25th September 2018.

The speakers of this seminar were Ms. Simranjeet Kaur and Ms. Megha. They were welcomed by Director, Dr M.M Maheshwari and Registrar, Mr. Anudeep Arora.

The speakers informed students about their company "Corporate Infocom Private Limited", which is an exclusive partner of GoDaddy. They informed the students about career opportunities in IT Sector. They talked about "Digital Marketing and Blogging Industry". They motivated students to convert their "Passion into Profession" and "Earning while Learning". They said that there is talent in everybody and all they need is a platform and their company is the right platform for such talent. They further explained about Domain Name, Web Hosting, COIPL (the online courses offered by their company), Control Panel, Search Engine Optimiser (SEO), Google Adsense, DAVSY (How to increase the viewers of a website).

They inspired the students to promote themselves not others and represent themselves by exploring and experimenting. She made the students aware about different jobs in Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource which are in great demand in the IT Sector.

Session was very interactive, students learnt a lot by this and this will surely help them in their future.

WORKSHOP ON "MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION"

Kamal institute of higher education and advance technology organized a workshop on multimedia communication (presented by MAAC) for the students of BBA, BCA and B.Com on 20th September 2018.

The speakers of this workshop were Mr.Nishant, Mr. Richit Mathur and Mr. Abhineet Kumar they were welcomed by Director, Dr M.M Maheshwari and Registrar, Mr. Anudeep Arora. The speakers informed students about their Institiute "MAAC". They informed the students about career opportunities in 3D Animation, Multimedia & Design, Gaming Design and Broadcast Design.They motivated students to convert their "Passion into Profession".They further explained about importance of multimedia as it can be anything and everything which you watch and listen in a form of text, photograph, audio, video and much more. In most of the industries, whether hospitality, aviation, banking, insurance, science and technology etc, it is being used in almost every field, either for publishing something or for some other purpose. They showed some video clips that how animation is playing vital role in film making and motivated the students to pursue their career in this area.

At the end of the session they organized a poster making competition for the students in which students prepared front page of weekly magazines and the theme was to promote your college and winner (SHANTANU SINGH) was awarded with smart phone.

Session was very interactive, students learnt a lot by this and this will surely help them in their future.


SEMINAR ON "TRAIN YOUR BRAIN"

Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology organized a full time seminar "Train your Brain" on 15th September 2018 at Vandana Interntional School , Sector 10 Dwarka , where all students of B.com, BCA and BBA participated.

The speakers of this seminar were Dr Nandini and Mr. Vaibhav Mediratta. They were welcomed by Director, Dr M.M Maheshwari. At the outset Dr Nandini addressed the students. She talked about “Neurolinguistic programming” i.e. to learn the language of your brain and how to memorize things for longer duration in the short period of time. She explained the concept of “Memory Power” and split the word memory into “Me + More” which means we should memorize those things which are more important. She further explained about Ubuntu which means “I am, because we are” and told the importance of positive attitude and team spirit with the help of a story.

She focused on key mantra of learning i.e. learning can be done only if you concentrate and concentration can be done when there is interest and interest is developed when you have association and attraction with the topic of learning.

Then our next speaker, Vaibhav Mediratta talked about “Creativity and problem solving skills” as no one like the feeling of being stuck. It creates tension so he told the procedure to solve our problems. Firstly find your problem by talking to yourself and then seek wisdom from knowledgeable persons.

He made the students aware about different jobs in Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource which are in great demand in the market. Session was very interactive, students learnt a lot by this and this will surely be a light at the end of the tunnel.

REPORT ON WORKSHOP: HOW TO DO WELL IN GROUP DISCUSSIONS AND PERSONAL INTERVIEWS

Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology organized a one day seminar on the topic “How to do well in Group Discussion and Personal Interview” on 6th September 2018. Main speaker of workshop was Mr.Grijesh, from Times group. The entire workshop was carried out under the guidance of Dr. M.M.Maheshwari, Director, K.I.H.E.A.T and Dr. Priti Srivastava, Principal, K.I.H.E.A.T. Around 250 students from BCA, BBA (G) B.Com (H), B.Ed had participated in the workshop. Mr. Anudeep Arora, Asst. Professor & Registrar co-ordinated the entire workshop.

The core employability skills also emphasis on the soft skills, communication and personality of candidates. Hence, considering the need of the present industry scenario, the aim and objective of the workshop was to develop student’s insight into the recruitment process and inculcate the group discussions and interview tactics to successfully enter into professional life in particular.

Mr. Grijesh highlighted the etiquettes and mannerisms to be followed by the students prior and during the group discussion. Beginning with, dress formally, confidence and the way candidate takes seat in the group discussion and personal interview, matters a lot. He enlightened the skills of listening to others carefully and paying attention while others are speaking, as this enables them to contribute to the discussion in a positive way. Moreover he also emphasised the importance of organizing owns thoughts before candidate speaks, so that they can be able to express with confidence and clarity. He suggested the students to enhance their knowledge in all fields by interacting people, reading newspaper and increase their potentiality of gathering information. His lecture consisted of various aspects and all important contents a student must know in order to ensure they do well in it.

The Workshop became more entertaining for students when Mr. Anudeep Arora discussed about the Group Discussion and Personal Interview skills that are utmost required during Placements and interview sessions. He also emphasized on the basic characteristics that are required for getting mastery in personality development skills.

At the end of workshop, query session was held which was very interactive where doubts of students were entertained by the expert. Mr. Anudeep Arora proposed vote of thanks and the event was successfully ended which rightly benefited the audience.

SEMINAR ON "Why should students study abroad?"

Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology organized a full day seminar on the topic “why should students study abroad” addressed by Ms. Neha Sharma and Ms. Akshita Arora from IDP on 7th September 2018. The entire seminar was carried out under the guidance of Dr. M.M.Maheshwari, Director, K.I.H.E.A.T.

All students of BCA, BBA (G) B.Com (H), participated in the seminar. Mr. Anudeep Arora, Asst. Professor & Registrar co-ordinated the entire workshop. Team from IDP highlighted the facts about practical exposure, financial assistance, lucarative benefits, better job opportunities of abroad and motivated the students to apply for higher education in foreign universities. Considering the need of the students,the aim and objective of the seminar was to develop students insight into the process of getting abroad.

Ms. Neha Sharma focussed on requirements of various tests like IELTS & GMAT. She discussed about the fees structure of different universities in UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, New zealand etc, about their admission cycle process and semester starting time respectively.

Ms. Akshita Arora elaborated in detail about the various options available abroad for BBA, B.COM, and BCA students and also advised the students to meet their fees & living expenditure through part time jobs available there. She also enlightened the students about scholarships available in different countries.

Lectures of Ms. Neha Sharma & Ms. Akshita Arora consisted of various aspects of all important contents a student must know in order to get admission in foreign universities. Ms. Preeti Vats Asst. Proff. KIHEAT also shared her views with the students about various opportunities available abroad as she has visited Oxford University and other academic places in London in June 2018.

The session was very interactive where students cleared their doubts.

The event was successful and it rightly benefited all those who attended it. Ms. Preeti Vats proposed vote of thanks.

REPORT ON YOUTH SUMMIT

Apeejay School of Management organized a youth summit on 'Sustainable Development' which was held on Friday, August 31, 2017.Three events were orgnanized during youth summit namely, presentation on environment sustainability, collage making and poster making competitions.

The aim of this event was tocreate awareness among youth on environment sustainability and to encourage them to preserve the environment for future generations. Because once students have an understanding of why it is necessary, they will be inspired to make positive changes, in big and small ways.

Students of Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology has participated in the event with full zeal and love for mother land. All students participated earnestly in the competition. They came up with amazing creativity.

The final judgment of events was made by the faculty members from Apeejay School of Management, GGSIPU. Group of five students of our college (ANJALI, AYUSHI, NIPPUN, HARI OM and KOMAL) won first prize in collage making competition .Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by certification.

REPORT ON ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Orientation programme of the Institute was held on 5th August 2018 at Vandana International School, Sector 10, Dwarka, where all the first year students were accorded warm welcome. The programme started with saraswati vandana performed by B.Ed students. Thereafter lighting of the auspicious lamp was done by the eminent dignitaries including Shri V.P. Tandon, Chairman of the Institute, Mrs Vandana Tandon, General Secretary, Prof. Sanjeev Mittal, Prof. M.C. Sharma, Mr. Harsh Tandon, Vice- Chairman, Dr S.R. Madan, Director General, Dr. M.M Maheshwari, Director, Dr. Priti Srivastava, Principal, Mr. P.S Mehra, Administrative Officer.

The chief guest Dr. Sanjeev Mittal was accorded floral welcome by Mr. V.P. Tandon, Professor M.C. Sharma by Dr. Priti Srivastava, Mr. V.P. Tandon by Dr. M.M. Maheshwari, Mrs. Vandana Tandon by Mr. Anudeep Arora, Dr. S.R. Madan by Dr. Priti Shrivastava, Mr. P.S. Mehra by Dr. M.M. Maheshwari and Mr. Harsh Tandon by Mr. Anudeep Arora.

Dr. M.M Maheshwari welcomed the first year students who in his welcome speech talked about various activities to be undertaken in three years and motivated the students to do their best in their respective fields. The Chief Guest Dr. Sanjeev Mittal exhorted the students to be knowledgeable. He drew attention of the students to two important words “STUDENT” and "KSA" i.e. Key Success Areas. He narrated the importance of the term 'STUDENT' by assigning somewhat different meaning to each of the alphabets in this word which really impressed the audience who gave a big hand to Dr. Mittal.

For changing the mood of the gathering a group dance was performed by B.Ed students and was applauded by the crowd. Prof. M.C Sharma laid emphasis on the importance of interpersonal skills and communication skills for the development of the personality. The environment became flamboyant with the advent of the bollywood celebrity Mr. Kumar Sanu who made the audience excited through his melodicious song. In the end welcome song was sung by students of Vandana International School.

At the close of the orientation program members of the faculty of Education and that of the Management introduced themselves to the students.

KIHEAT arranged a movie for students of B.com, BBA and BCA on 24th August, 2018 at Cinepolis, Janak Puri. The movie was “GENIUS” directed by Anil Sharma.

Genius is an action thrilling film. It makes debut of Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma as an actor, who had earlier featured as a child actor in Sharma's 2001 blockbuster film “Gadar- Ek Prem Katha”. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mithun Chakraborty are in supportive roles in the film. This movie is a mixture of emotion action, intelligence and patriotism.

Utkarsh Sharma excellently used his IT skills for hacking the country. In challenging situations he used an unending efforts approach. This impressed students very much. This movie taught them how to manage their personal and professional life. However, our country should be our first priority.

Faculty members accompanied students and not only enjoyed the film, but also learnt a lot from it.
